Inspired by her creative charisma and technical prowess, these poetic patterns capture the essence of the Arts & Crafts movement through her meticulously detailed embroideries. The designs, imbued with a sense of symmetry, movement, and flow, reflect the style that defined Liberty’s early history and went onto become one of the design house’s most iconic pillars.

As part of Liberty’s ongoing creative partnership with the William Morris Gallery, the Craft Garden collection honours the style and legacy of May Morris. In celebration of Morris’ creativity and her pioneering social status as a working female professional, this fabric series sheds a new light on her influence. Drawing on original embroideries and artworks discovered within the William Morris Gallery archives, Craft Garden also highlights the significance of the Arts & Crafts style within Liberty’s rich heritage.
